Dr. Ron Bewley

Ron was Professor of Econometrics at UNSW when he was invited to join the Commonwealth Bank to found a Quantitative Research & Investment Strategy team. After researching across most asset classes in global markets, risk and strategy, he was appointed as the foundation Chief Investment Officer in CBA's Private Client Services Division. He retired from the bank in 2009 and formed Woodhall Investment Research in the following year.
In his first book, Allocation Models, he presents a unified econometric approach for analysing relationships that allocate aggregates across their component parts - as in wealth being allocated across asset classes. He published over 50 academic papers on a variety of theoretical and applied econometric topics. He held a number of visiting academic positions in the US, UK and Europe. Ron was elected Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in 1995. He also consulted to a number of major companies and government departments.
At Woodhall, Ron has combined his academic and markets experiences to produce cutting-edge solutions for implementing investment strategies in equities and other asset classes.
Matthew Zschech

Matthew has had over 9 years' experience in the global financial markets and over 15 years working within a global corporate environment across Australia, Asia Pacific and Global geographies. He has gained exposure in Corporate Business Operations both globally and locally across the Banking, Finance and Insurance, Resource/Energy, Airlines and Government sectors.
He has graduated with a Master's Degree in Management, a Post Graduate Diploma in Technology Management, and a Masters Certificate in Project Management. Matthew has completed his accreditations in Securities and Derivatives through Deakin University and has been a member of the Stockbrokers Association of Australia since 2005.
Before coming to Alpha Fund Managers in June 2008, Matthew formed a securities and derivatives firm in 2003, with service offerings in international markets for clients across Australia, United Sates, Europe and Asia Pacific. Specializing in international stocks, managed accounts and a hedge fund based out of Chicago.
